When you are talking about a traditional messaging app, I don't think things get better than Google Messages. Sure, Samsung's messaging app comes close to it, but for the most comprehensive experience, Google is where everything good lies. After rolling out the Profile Discovery feature a couple of days back, we have now received word that the search engine giant is working on a new feature that will be great for those who use the app to send voice messages.
Google Messages will now let you send voice messages without the pesky background noise, thanks to the new noise-cancelling feature coming soon
Yes, Google Messages does allow you to send voice messages, and based on the information we have received, the company is working on adding noise cancellation to the app. This feature will allow you to send voice messages without worrying about the background noise, making it impossible for the listener to figure out what you are saying. Here is how it will look:
The source also claims that they were able to test out the noise cancellation feature on Google Messages' beta version, and it works great at reducing background noise. The option can be found inside the voice recording dialogue box, so you won't have to worry. However, when you are about to send a voice message, you will have to go ahead and enable it first.
The feature has not been rolled out to the beta channel at the moment, which means that we will have to wait a while before it is available for everyone. This certainly is a useful feature for Google Messages ensuring you get a much, much better experience every time you send a voice message, especially if you are on the go a lot. I just hope a similar feature makes its way to WhatsApp and other messaging services as well in the future.
