Galaxy S8 Release Date Has Allegedly Been Revealed and Its Closer Than You Think
Galaxy S8 is rumored to get announced during the month of April, but there was no word on its release date. If a new rumor is to be believed, then the S8 is going to maintain its announcement month of April, but its release date is closer than you might think.
Galaxy S8 Said to Be Announced on April 18 – Venue of Grand Unveiling Expected to Be New York City
A Korean media report coming in suggests that the Galaxy S8 is expected to have a global launch date of April 18. While one previous rumor stated that the smartphone was going to be announced in April, it didn’t state if it was a global launch. Perhaps this is the reason why Samsung was earlier reported to manufacturer 10 million smartphone units for the initial run of the flagship since it wants to garner sufficient revenue to cover up for the catastrophe carried forward by the Note 7.
The screen sizes of these models are unconfirmed because, on one hand, Samsung is prepping 5.7 and 6.2-inch models, while another report states that a 6-inch model is going to be announced. Rumor also has it that the company is preparing a flat screen version of the flagship. We feel that this is the right approach since the regular version should be cheaper and would allow proper grip for users in comparison to curved-edge screen models.
Keep in mind that while the dual-curved display version will be handy for some users, not many consumers are going to take advantage of such a feature so they might not feel comfortable paying a hefty premium for it either. The money would better be used in purchasing a rapid-fast storage card since that will bring them some form of value in the long run.
