Official Galaxy S8 Announcement Details Will Be Divulged at the Upcoming MWC 2017 Event
Throughout the course of several months, Galaxy S8 rumors have been incoming and apart from its highly anticipated features, one detail was definitely on the mind of consumers and our readers; the official announcement date of the flagship. Due to events and incidents that took place with the Note7, Samsung was forced to remove the Galaxy S8’s presence from the upcoming MWC 2017 trade show. However, Samsung’s mobile division head has given us something to get hyped for and it’s the official announcement date of the smartphone.
Details of the Galaxy S8 Announcement Will Be Made Available Possibly on February 26
According to details, it looks like the announcement details of the Galaxy S8 are going to be made available as soon as the MWC 2017 trade show starts, which is going to be starting from February 26 (via Tapscape).
Samsung is going to be making an appearance at the show, but it will probably be just to announce its Galaxy Tab S3 tablet or provide a sneak preview of the upcoming flagship phone. Rumors have pointed out that Galaxy S8 is expected to get announced on April 14, but it looks like Kim Dong-jin, Samsung’s head of mobile has said that all the announcement details are going to be found out at the trade show.
Previous rumors have suggested that the announcement is going to take place in New York, but we’ve already reminded you guys to take such information with a pinch of salt. What we do know is that the home button is no longer going to be present and Samsung will increase the total screen-to-body ratio of the flagship to allow more content-viewing on the display for the user.
It has also been reported that Samsung will retain its QHD Super AMOLED panels on both Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus but thanks to the improved UI, there’s a way for you to tone down that resolution in order to conserve more battery life.
We are definitely excited for the MWC 2017 trade show to officially kick off and we’ll be providing you with timely coverage of all the announcements that take place in Barcelona.
