Galaxy S25 Ultra Owners In Brazil Are Receiving Royalty Treatment From Samsung As The Company Includes Power Brick, Cable And SIM Card Removal Pin In The Box

A Galaxy S25 Ultra owner in Brazil received all the freebies

Samsung was handing out a ton of freebies when it opened up pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the remaining two models, but it remained steadfast when refusing to bundle a power brick with any of these devices. Chances are that you will not receive any preferential treatment from the company unless you happen to purchase the premium handset from Brazil, as the recent owner of the Galaxy S25 Ultra shows that you not only get a charging cable and SIM ejector pin in the box, you also get a power adapter.

The reason for bundling a power brick with the Galaxy S25 Ultra likely comes from Brazilian authorities fining Apple for not providing the same accessory

On X, Guilherme, who appears to be the new and proud owner of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, posted a picture of the flagship on the microblogging social network. The image shown below would have been treated like any other snap if not for the fact that the owner reveals that the smartphone purchase included a power brick, a USB-C-to-USB-C cable, and a SIM ejector tool. While the people commenting on the thread are genuinely surprised, Guilherme reveals that Brazilian authorities went after companies who refused to include such accessories with their flagships.

The same authorities also fined Apple $19 million in 2022 when the Cupertino firm started selling iPhones in the country without a charger. Earlier that year, iPhone sales were suspended in the region, so to avoid a similar fate, Samsung likely bundled a power brick. Bear in mind that the Korean giant ships a significantly lower number of flagship units, so its presence in every region will give it an edge, regardless of how small that advantage is. While Samsung was prudent in avoiding such penalties, even on this occasion, the company cut some corners. In the post, Guilherme reveals that the power brick can only deliver up to 25W, whereas the Galaxy S25 Ultra supports up to 45W.

Even if you do not receive a free power brick from Samsung, chances are that you already own one, and it will only add up to your pile until you decide to discard it, which will show up in a landfill. What you will receive from Amazon is a $200 gift card if you purchase the Galaxy S25 Ultra right now, with the reward being used to get other items on your bucket list that you have yet to acquire. These days, getting a 45W power brick to top up a smartphone will barely add to the total, but a $200 gift card; now that is something special.
