Palit Group issues this statement to address and clarify recent inaccurate media reports regarding the operational status of the GALAX brand.

Contrary to recent speculation suggesting an exit from the graphics card market, Palit Group and GALAX formally confirm that these reports are unfounded. We would like to clarify the following facts for our partners, media, and global community:

Business Operations and Continuity

GALAX is not ceasing operations. We remain fully committed to the development, production, and support of our high-performance hardware. Our product roadmap continues as planned, and our commitment to delivering cutting-edge technology to gamers and creators remains our top priority.

A Strategic Evolution of Management

GALAX has been a proud and integral member of the Palit Group since 2007. The recent internal transitions are part of a pre-planned global initiative to integrate brand management for enhanced operational efficiency and cross-departmental synergy.

Unified Global Management Under Palit Group

Building upon the successful integration of internal operations between GALAX and Palit, the management of the "GALAX," "KFA2," and the flagship "HOF" (Hall of Fame) brands is now being centralized at the Palit Group headquarters.

This transition is a strategic move designed to:

  • Strengthen Global Presence: Leverage the full scale of Palit Group’s resources to strengthen brand visibility worldwide.
  • Optimize Supply Chain: Streamline production and logistics to better serve our international markets.
  • Accelerate Innovation: Consolidate R&D efforts to drive the next generation of GPU excellence.

Looking Toward the Next Generation

The GALAX, KFA2, and HOF brands—along with our legendary GPU lineups—are not going anywhere. In fact, we are just getting started as we prepare to redefine performance for the next generation of computing.

[Original Article] In shocking news, GALAX or Galaxy Microsystems has announced that it is ceasing all operations and will now operate through its sister brand, Palit Microsystems.

We just talked to GALAX, in which they announced the closure of the offices and also confirmed the dismissal of the entire global team.

Announcement to GALAX Customers
We hereby inform you that Palit has assumed full control and operations of the GALAX brand.
With this transition, Palit becomes solely responsible for all activities and commitments related to the brand.
We emphasize that both are NVIDIA-authorized partners, ensuring the legitimacy and continuity of our services. Following the closure of the previous organizational structure and the dismissal of its team, all management and operations will now be handled exclusively through Palit’s official channels.
Customers should contact Palit directly for any support or service inquiries:

Palit, another leading NVIDIA partner, will be assuming full control and operations of the GALAX brand. Customers who bought a GALAX graphics card can continue to avail warranty / RMA services through Palit at the following link: https://rma.palit.com/rma/br.php

The reason for GALAX's exit is due to supply constraints caused by huge AI demand, as per the letter sent out by Palit to its customers.

It should be mentioned that Palit Microsystems was already responsible for managing GALAX and KFA2, but with GALAX's exit from the business, all operations are now handled by Palit. Palit will be managing the "GALAX", "KFA2", and "HOF" brands internally from now on.

Looking back at GALAX, the company was founded in 1994 in Hong Kong, China, as a computer hardware manufacturer. The company went on to become a global name, with its sister-brand KFA2 serving the EU markets, and GALAX serving several regions, including Asia-Pacific, South America, and North America.

GALAX had a major presence in Brazil, where enthusiasts such as the folks such as Ronaldo over at TecLab dedicated countless hours over the past 12 years to showing us their modding and engineering skills.

Over the years, we have seen, tested, and written about several GALAX graphics cards, a component in which they specialized. The company's HOF series is well-regarded as one of the best designs for overclocking and enthusiasts. Since Wccftech started, we have tested countless GALAX graphics cards, and our last review for GALAX was the GeForce RTX 5080 HOF, once again showcasing a stunning PCB and cooler design.

We want to thank the current GALAX team for all the support they offered us over the past two decades, and we wish the teams at GALAX the best of luck in their future ventures.
