Fire Emblem Echoes Confirmed For 3DS; New Switch Title Also In Development

The Fire Emblem series has become incredibly popular in recent times following the release of FE: Awakening, released on Nintendo 3DS a few years. Following the success of Fire Emblem Fates, Nintendo has confirmed during yesterday's Nintendo Direct that one more game will release on Nintendo 3DS this year.

The new Fire Emblem 3DS game, called Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, isn't a completely new title, as it's a reimagining of Fire Emblem: Gaiden, released back in 1992. The 3DS game will come with new visuals, full voice-acting and modern gameplay enhancements of recent titles.

Fire Emblem Echoes isn't the only entry in the series currently in development. During the Direct, Nintendo also confirmed that a new, yet to be titled game is in development for the Nintendo Switch, making this new game the first home console entry in the series since Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. This new game will launch sometime in 2018.

Lastly, a Fire Emblem Warriors trailer has also been shown during the Nintendo Direct. The game has also been confirmed for New 3DS.
