WhatsApp's voice calling feature has been making quite a lot of rounds these days on the internet. According to reports, the feature should become available on your phones quite soon, so make sure to keep your WhatsApp updated. But if you, like us, can not wait until the feature becomes available, then there's a work around for that too. If you're an Apple user that is. So to get WhatsApp's voice calling feature for your iOS device, take a look at our list of simple steps below. For Android, click here.
Enable Voice Calling On Your WhatsApp For iPhone By These Steps
As you've most likely figured out by now, you'll be needing to jailbreak your device if you need to run WhatsApp's voice calling feature for iPhone. If you were quick to update to iOS 8.2 then you're out of luck as there's no jailbreak available for it just yet. But if you were wise enough and did not jailbreak your device, then you'll be able to enjoy WhatsApp's voice calling on your device before the feature is actually introduced, thanks to a handy tweak.
So if you're running iOS 8.1.2 and earlier, the first thing you need to do is to jailbreak your device. To find out how to do so, click here. After you're done with the process, and Cydia has been installed on your device, open the tweak store. Head over to Cydia's repository and install 'AppSync Unified Beta'. Once you're done with the installation, reboot your iPhone. When your device turns on again, open safari and head over to this link 'https://dev2.whatsapp.net/ios/WhatsApp'. Tap and install the beta and you're good to go. All you need to do now is ask any WhatsApp user with Voice Calling activated to call you using the feature, and voila, you can now make voice calls on WhatsApp. Cheers.
