visionOS 2 is the first major update that the Vision Pro headset has received since its launch, and it will add a plethora of new features that will not only enhance the user experience but also bring better stability to the platform. The update will include the new ability to gather depth information from 2D photos and transform them into 3D photos using machine learning. This will allow all existing photos, not only the ones captured with the iPhone 15 Pro, to transform into 3D images.

The update will also include new hand gestures for better controls, allowing users to activate the Home Screen and the Control Center. The Home View can also be customized with apps that can be rearranged according to user preference. There is also a new Travel Mode, which comes with support for trains. The guest mode now saves profiles for 30 days, so you do not have to complete the guest setup every time.

visionOS 2 includes a handful of additional updates, which you can check out later on, so do check out the latest features in beta 9. The final version of the update will be available later this month, potentially on the 19th or 20th. We will be covering the event extensively with follow-up coverage, so stick around.
