DOOM Will Have Unlocked FPS on PC; Beta Extended for an Extra Day

id Software just announced via Twitter that the DOOM Open Beta has been extended for an extra day. It will now go on until April 18 at 11:59PM EST.

In the meantime, the already negative Steam reviews of the DOOM Open Beta got even worse - it's now at 36% recommendation, with a "mostly negative" tally out of almost 11K reviews submitted. Let us know if you agree with this assessment in the comments.

There's at least one more good news for DOOM players on PC, though: id Software's Lead Renderer Programmer Tiago Sousa announced yesterday that the frame rate will be uncapped at release (it's locked at 60FPS in the beta). According to Sousa, this was a problem inherited from the previous version of idTech.
