Demon's Souls is not available officially on PC, but recent developments of the RPCS3 emulator now allow PC players to enjoy the very first entry of the Souls series. If you have played the game already, and want your next playthrough to be different, you will definitely want to take a look at a new mod that's been released recently.
The Demon's Souls Nightmare of Boletaria mod introduces not only some graphics tweaks but also gameplay changes that make the game much more difficult. The Nightmare Challenge mode comes in two different variants.
Hard Mode Features:
-Maximum HP now is 1000 HP at all levels
-Natural Physical Defense reduced to 0 at all levels, only armor provides Physical Defense now
-Grass healing has been nerfed
-Second Chance miracle is disabled
-Duping is fixed and no longer possible
-Bosses are rendered as Black Phantoms (cosmetic change; only visuals were altered and they retain the same stats)
-Black Phantom version of enemies will spawn in all World Tendencies
-Monk's Head Wrappings can now be purchased from the Once Royal Mistress in 3-1 Latria for 50k soulsExtreme Mode Features:
-Maximum HP now is 1HP
-Second Chance miracle is disabled
-Duping is fixed and no longer possible
-Bosses are rendered as Black Phantoms (cosmetic change; only visuals were altered and they retain the same stats)

-Fall damage deals a set percentage of the total health in damage, that means with 1 HP the game won't register fall damage because it can't deal less than 1 damage.
-Levelling up will not increase your HP
-Being in soul form will not lower your HP and similarly Cling Ring will not increase it either

Demon's Souls is now available on PlayStation 3. The game is fully playable on PC thanks to the RPCS3 emulator.
