Death Stranding Director's Cut now available for the iPhone, iPad and Mac

Another AAA game, Death Stranding Director’s Cut, is now available for various iPhones, iPads, and Macs. Those who own the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max can purchase the title for $19.99, as such games are only compatible with the A17 Pro. Apple is also running an attractive 50 percent discount. For iPad and Mac owners, any version featuring the M1 will be compatible with Death Stranding. The Director’s Cut officially launched exclusively for the PS5 back in 2021, and afterward, the game made its way to Windows in 2022.

Similar to Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Death Stranding Director’s Cut offers stunning visuals while also delivering an optimized experience when playing on the PC, so it is likely that iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max owners will get to see a similar buttery-smooth gameplay when immersing themselves in the action-adventure game. We have yet to dive into the title’s visual options, but it is possible that just like Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 Remake that launched on Apple’s App Store, PC-like graphics settings will be available for users to tweak and find a balance between each option.

In the App Store, there is no mention of any DLC when purchasing Death Stranding Director’s Cut, so the $19.99 value is for the entire game. Those interested in purchasing the app must have ample storage space, as the game requires 77GB of onboard memory. Even then, if you have played Death Stranding before, you do not need to experience a second playthrough on the iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Remember, Apple just got into the gaming space, so improved chipsets with better graphics capabilities will launch in the future, and with their release, developers will have improved hardware at their fingertips to launch visually demanding titles accordingly.
