News: Developer Rocksteady Studios has released a new Batman Arkham Knight patch which weighs around 200MB and adds support for the Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC for the game.
New Batman Arkham Knight Patch Will Add Support For Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC on the PS4
Story: The first DLC for Batman Arkham Knight has already made its way onto consoles for season pass owners. Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC release was planned for the 14th of July for the season pass owners, and will be made available to the rest of the gaming community on the 21st of July. Unfortunately, we do not know much about the changes in the new patch as there has been no official word on the patch notes but we do know that the new Batman Arkham Knight patch is around 200MB in size, and will add support for Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC on the PS4 console.
On the other end, there has been no word of a Batman Arkham Knight patch on the Xbox One, nor has there been any news of a re-release of the game's PC version. We do believe that the developers will release a patch for the Xbox One version of the game but the PC version still remains a bit foggy as a couple of days back, we brought you news that the Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC has been delayed on PC. This was due to the rough condition of the PC port of Batman Arkham Knight and Warner Bros. apologized to the players for this extended delay on their official community support forums. Addressing the fans, they said:
We have heard the PC gaming community outcry of disappointment for the initial launch of Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. Again, we would like to apologize to you, the fans, and let you know that we are taking full responsibility for releasing a product that did not meet our quality standards, which is why we suspended sales of the game as soon as we understood the issues. The Batman: Arkham Knight fans are extremely important to us and our highest priority is ensuring PC users get the full, high quality experience of Batman: Arkham Knight they deserve. Rocksteady Studios has created an amazing game with Batman: Arkham Knight and they are now working closely with us and our partners to ensure that we offer the same experience on PC. Once the PC version is fully updated, Rocksteady and all parties will agree that it meets a superior quality bar and we will then make the game available for sale.
While discussing the upcoming Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC, they added:
Our continued focus on getting the right PC fixes in place for the main game has had an impact on the development of all DLC content for the PC version of the game. This means that the Batman: Arkham Knight – Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC will not be available on July 14th for those who are currently playing the PC version of the game. We apologize for the delay and only want to make sure that any content that we offer is up to the standards that PC players expect.
