ASRock Demos Over 10,000 MT/s DDR5 Memory Speeds With Ambient Air-Cooling Using Z890 Taichi OCF 1

ASRock has demonstrated over 10,000 MT/s DDR5 memory speeds on its Z890 Taichi OCF motherboard using standard air cooling in an ambient room.

ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF keeps breaking records and is probably the first motherboard to push dual DDR5 memory sticks over 10,000 MT/s without the need for high-end cooling

The Z890 Taichi OCF might surpass ASRock's expectations at this point. Initially, ASRock was already happy with around 10,000 MT/s memory speed with a single rank module but modified its specs page as soon as it could hit 12527 MT/s with overclocking.

While this record has already been broken with a G.Skill module by Splave, who overclocked it to 12666 MT/s, ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF has just now secured another record. The overclocker Nick Shih at HKEPC Hardware has successfully made a world record for dual-stick memory overclocking. While most memory overclocking records are made with a single-rank module, this is the first time a dual-rank memory configuration has been able to surpass the 10000 MT/s mark.

However, this wasn't achieved with some top-of-the-line liquid nitrogen cooling and stuff. It was achieved at room temperature, without even adding any dedicated cooling to the memory sticks. The overclocker used the V-Color Manta XFinity RGB DDR5 memory kit, which is the same memory many famous overclockers have used recently to break the memory world records on the Z890 Taichi OCF.

With the manual overclocking, the 2x 24GB kit managed to run at 5066 MHz or 10133 MT/s of speed, which is extraordinary since many single modules can't reach 10000 MT/s, let alone exceed it. The video shows that the system comprised the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K with a liquid cooler and the Xfinity RGB DDR5 memories were doing good with their stock heatsinks.

This once again proves that anyone who wants to have the best possible Z890 motherboard for overclocking should go for the ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF.

We are sure that with such a record, ASRock will now flex the 10,000 MT/s+ speed on its official specs sheet, which is currently at 6800+ MT/s. Apart from memory overclocking, the Taichi OCF also brings a robust power delivery with a 27-power phase VRM with 110A SPS for a high level of CPU overclocking.
