For the last couple of months we have been covering how Apple is misbehaving in the industry, especially you Mr. Jobs. I am not sure what they really want out of it but it seems that they have a pretty strong case built up against HTC, world's top smartphone manufacturer since Apple's iPhone was not even conceived.
Apple has filed a lawsuit against HTC for infringing 20 iPhone patents. Apple today submitted a 700 page petition along with exhibit handsets, including Google Nexus One and HD2 (basically they presented entire HTC line up). Mr. I-am-the-king Jobs says in response to what Apple did, "We can sit by and watch competitors steal our patented inventions, or we can do something about it. We've decided to do something about it," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. "We think competition is healthy, but competitors should create their own original technology, not steal ours." Well said, but I wonder that if Apple's patents or technology was so good and original then they should thank HTC for using it and making it better. But the best part is that they are dragging Google into court as Android is part of the infringement case.
Anyway, so far HTC has officially responded that they have not received any legal notice as yet but they will fight the case as they have been creating original technology for the last 13 years (thats true!)
