Apple Releases Beta 1 of tvOS 12.4, macOS 10.14.6, watchOS 5.3 To Developers
Today, Apple has seen fit to release the first beta of watchOS 5.3, tvOS 12.4 and macOS 10.14.6 to developers. The new beta versions arrive just a few days after the company seeded macOS 10.14.5, tvOS 12.3 and watchOS 5.2 to the general public. Let's dive in to see some more details on the new beta build of the aforementioned updates and how you can install them.
Apple Seeds watchOS 5.3, tvOS 12.4 and macOS 10.14.6 Beta 1 To Developers
Starting off with macOS 10.14.6 beta 1, registered developers can download the latest build through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences. However, be sure to note that a proper configuration profile is installed through the Developer Center.
tvOS 12.4 is designed for the fourth and fifth generation of Apple TV models. If you're interested, the latest beta build can be installed on your compatible Apple TV model through a profile that is installed using Xcode on Mac. Be sure to note that a proper profile is installed.
watchOS 5.3 can be installed on your Apple Watch using a proper configuration profile from the Apple Developer Center. Once it is installed, simply head over to the dedicated Apple Watch app on your iPhone and navigate to General > Software Update and install the update.
As for what's new in the beta build, it might be too early to ask. Henceforth, we should probably wait for developers to tinker with the new build and see what Apple has added. Possibly, the latest build would not have anything new in store in terms of forward-facing additions. However, you can never be sure so it would be wise to wait. Furthermore, it seems like watchOS 5.3, tvOS 12.4 and macOS 10.14.6 will be the final version that Apple will release to the public before introducing its upcoming firmware updates at the WWDC 2019. The company has also seeded the first beta of iOS 12.4, see full details here.
There will be more to the story, so be sure to stay tuned in for more details. This is all for now, folks. What are your thoughts on the new beta of watchOS 5.3, tvOS 12.4 and macOS 10.14.6? Do you think Apple might have added a new front-facing addition? Let us know in the comments.
