Apple Expected to Announce New iPad Pros Next Week Along With 128GB iPhone SE
It looks like Apple is gearing up to launch the latest iPad Pro models along with some new products, next week. The company has not yet sent out media invites for the launch event, but we can expect that to happen soon. Apple usually sends invites 10-12 days in advance so if the reports are indeed authentic then the company should start the invite process this week or maybe it can skip the event and introduce the products via webinar.
The report comes from MacRumors, attributing "reputable supply chain analysts", as its source for the information. As per the report, Apple is "most likely" to introduce new products sometime between March 20 and 24. Even though the name of the new products has not surfaced yet we can expect a refreshed iPad Pro lineup. Apple has not updated its 9.7-inch iPad Pro for a year while the 12.9-inch iPad Pro debuted in 2015.
Besides, Apple is also tipped to come up with a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro, which is obviously larger than the 9.7-inch iPad Pro lineup. Maybe this time around Apple is looking to enhance the screen size with thin bezels. Plus, if the outlook of the new iPad Pro is significantly better then the company would like to show it off at a dedicated event.
Also, the Cupertino giant might as well update the 12.9-inch iPad Pro and make the 9.7-inch variant cheaper to take over the iPad Air 2. Along with the refreshed iPad Pro lineup, the rumour mill is also abuzz with the information about an overhauled variant of the iPhone SE, which could house 128GB internal storage that is twice the capacity of the present models of the phone. Other than storage space enhancement, the rumoured iPhone SE variant may not have any other new features on the hardware front such as inclusion of 3D Touch display or an accelerated processor.
Other than the reports of the imminent launch of the new products, the company is also expected to unveil a new Red color option for the iPhone 7 and maybe for the iPhone 7 Plus too.
For now, we should take all the information with a pinch of salt as only time will tell if Apple indeed hosts an event or introduces the new products silently in the coming week. Stay tuned with us for more information on it.
