AMD Confirms Full RDNA 4 "Radeon RX 9000" GPU Unveil Set For 28th February, Retail Launch in Early March 1

AMD is rumored to unveil full details of the Radeon RX 9070 GPUs on 22nd January while it has already shipped review samples to reviewers.

AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 GPUs are reported to be unveiled on 22nd January with Official Retail Launch on 24th

AMD's RDNA 4 GPU lineup, which was initially thought to be fully unveiled at CES, is now said to be showcased on 22nd January. The initial batch reportedly includes the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT GPUs, based on the Navi 48 die and, according to a report from Chiphell forums, the Radeon RX 9070 GPUs will be officially revealed on 22nd January.

While the page has been removed from the forums, @9550pro has provided us with the info. Moreover, the leak informs us that the embargo on the retail launch will be lifted on 24th January, just two days later. Not surprisingly, reviewers have already started getting their review samples as the embargo on reviews is expected to be lifted on the same day, i.e., 22nd January. The leak on the Chiphell forums also reveals that the user has got the Radeon RX 9070 GPU and said,

The 9070 has arrived, NDA ends on the 22nd. How can we evaluate this? Not bringing the 5080"?

On the other hand, a Reddit user u/Itzamedave, posted pics of the Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 GPU on the r/radeon subreddit. It's a triple-fan card and is the slower model with the Navi 48 die. The user posted the GPU with the title, "The 9070 has arrived. It's real".

As far as the pricing goes, the leaker @9550pro reports that the AMD reference RX 9070 XT GPU will cost $479 while the AIB editions will cost around $549. Do keep in mind that he reports it as a rumor.

Nonetheless, the latter is the official MSRP of the GeForce RTX 5070 Founders Edition but the AIB editions will cost higher. If this is true, then the RX 9070 XT could be a dealbreaker mid-range card if it is as good as the RTX 4070 Ti/Super card, as was seen in recent leaks.

Even though these were the synthetic benchmarks, some leaks do say that the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT may compete with up to the RTX 4080 Super GPU. The first graphics cards have already been listed by retailers for Pre-Orders which start on 23rd January. As far as the RX 9070 goes, there are no pricing leaks on this one yet, but they will be revealed on the 22nd officially along with the full specifications.
