New World

Amazon Game Studios still has to publish a title since its foundation. After the cancellation of Breakaway, the best bet seems to be New World, the promising MMORPG we've covered before on Wccftech.

As you may recall, Chris recently checked out the game during a press event and came away impressed. Today, the developers have announced that the ongoing Alpha test will end next month because they are planning to add major features to New World. Thus, Alpha testing will resume at a later date, once those features have been correctly implemented.

We launched the New World Alpha last September to share what we’ve been working on with the community. We wanted to get the game in your hands to learn from your experiences, and to help us make the game as good as could be. Thousands of you accepted the call to join us on the journey of making New World, and we’re grateful for your time, passion, and thoughtful feedback.

We’ve used that feedback to change and add features to the game, steadily improving gameplay. We’ve also used your input to design major new features that we are excited to share with you. Since these features are large in scope and create changes to the world that could be disruptive, we will end this phase of Alpha testing and plan to bring the game out of 24/7 live service on June 3, 2019.

A great game is shaped by many people. We will be asking for your help periodically to give us feedback on new features, so please stay tuned. We hope you will continue to help us make New World as good as it can be. We will provide regular updates to keep you informed of our progress. If you haven’t already, you can sign up here.

Thank you all for being a part of the journey thus far. We’re looking forward to the future.

Stay tuned on Wccftech for more news and updates on Amazon's New World.
