Amazon Has Launched A New Service Where You Can Compare And Review Cars But You Still Can’t Buy Them
We all know one thing about Amazon and that is it’s just great. Whether you want to buy something miniscule as a deck of cards or something big like a car seat you can always rely on Amazon for quality. We just mentioned Amazon’s latest Prime Now service which lets you test drive Hyundai’s latest Elantra 2017 model. Now the company has launched something else related to cars as well. Although still adamant on the point of not selling cars, Amazon now allows you to compare cars. So if you want to research on cars you can use their new hub which will show you reviews and allow you to check out the full specifications of a range vehicles, from sedans to SUVs and even trucks.
Now you can read reviews and compare cars on Amazon
Amazon wishes to create a whole automotive community by using this new hub. The service will also show you the price of cars from different manufacturers, but you still can’t buy the car from Amazon.
The head of Amazon’s automotive sector, Adam Goetsch said in a press statement that the company wants to "support customers during one of the most important, research-intensive purchases in their lives." He also added that the information on the website will be "enhanced by the ability to tap into the knowledge, opinions, and experiences of other car owners within the Amazon customer community."
There’s something else in this plan apart from getting customer satisfaction and increased traffic on the website. The vehicles on the site will point customers towards Amazon’s automotive store. This is the place where you can buy a whole range of products related to cars, like car seats and other replacement parts. This will help boost the sales of this part of Amazon as well, hopefully.
A CNET report says that when asked whether the company would actually move into selling cars, a spokesperson from the company said the usual “We have nothing more to share at this time." But if they actually build a good customer base from this hub and the numbers do start showing results then maybe just maybe we might see Amazon moving into car sales.
