Acer confirms NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 will ship with 32 GB GDDR7 & RTX 5080 with 16 GB GDDR7 memory
Yesterday, ZOTAC unintentionally leaked some of the information related to the RTX 50 series GPUs and today Acer has confirmed some of them. While you shouldn't be expecting a full spec sheet leak, at least now we can say that the memory configuration on the upcoming cards is final.
Acer is reportedly preparing new Orion Predator gaming desktops, featuring the latest Intel CPUs paired with upcoming RTX 50 series GPUs. The information isn't official yet, and you won't find these desktop PCs on the official website. Videocardz grabbed the information before it was pulled back, and it looks like it was available on the Acer Germany website.
As spotted on the spec sheet of the Acer Predator Orion 7000 gaming desktops, there will be two configurations one should expect. Both have identical configurations, including the processor, RAM, storage, chassis, cooling, etc. except for the graphics card. One will be shipped with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 and the other with the RTX 5080.
In the brackets, the VRAM configuration of both cards has been revealed, which confirms that the RTX 5090 will ship with 32 GB GDDR7 VRAM and the RTX 5080 with 16 GB GDDR7.
These were the already rumored VRAM configurations, which are now finalized for the launch. As for other specifications, the desktops will feature the Arrow Lake Core Ultra 7 265KF processor, 32 GB DDR5 RAM RGB with options for up to 128 GB, 1TB+1TB PCI-E SSD storage, and Windows 11 Home operating system.
One should expect these to be available after NVIDIA launches the RTX 50 series GPUs at CES 2025 and each of these models would cost a couple of thousand dollars.
NVIDIA's RTX 5090 will be the flagship GPU in the series, featuring 21760 Cuda Cores and a TBP of up to 600W. The RTX 5080 will be the second-fastest GPU with 10752 Cuda Cores and 400W of TBP. These are the rumored specifications of these GPUs, which may or may not be 100% accurate.
