The OnePlus 2 Sees Its Price Leak; Listed On Retailer With $499 Price Tag
As we near towards the OnePlus 2’s launch date on July 27th, leaks and rumors surrounding the device have started to occur at an increasing pace as well. While at the start of this year, or a couple of months back for that matter, OnePlus was rumored to be launching only one device, we now know otherwise. But right now, the OnePlus 2 has been listed on Oppomart and you can take a look at that below.
The OnePlus 2 Gets Listed On Oppomart With $499 Price Tag
Well, well, well. Looks like OnePlus’ 2016 flagship killer won’t be light on the pocket for all the damage that the manufacturer expects it to cause. We’ve seen several top tier specifications being posted by none other then OnePlus itself for this year’s device, and by the looks of things, they won’t be coming cheap by any accord. Oppomart has just listed the OnePlus 2 on its website, and while the device sports everything claimed about it so far, its the price tag which has gotten us a tad bit worried.
As you can see in the listing above, the OnePlus 2 has been listed by Oppomart with a price tag of $499. This places the device in the big leagues, not only in terms of specifications, but also in terms of price. Could OnePlus be making a similar mistake that Google did with the Nexus last year? The Nexus 6, despite featuring top level specifications, came with a hefty price tag, which alienated a lot of hardcore, dedicated Nexus fans, who claimed the smartphone had started to enter the flagship race, rather than cater to the needs of those requiring its true features.
If this listing turns out to be accurate, then undoubtedly we’ll see several complaints from OnePlus fans as well. But before you judge the manufacturer too harshly, do keep in mind that profits are what enable manufacturers to keep on providing us with high quality devices after all. The OnePlus 2 has been listed with a 5.7 inch, 2K screen, coupled with the Snapdragon 810, a 16 MP rear camera and a 3300 mAh battery. Stay tuned, we’ll keep you updated and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
