Not just Corsair, ZOTAC is too, cancelling some orders without any valid reasons, and according to the recent reports, it has increased the RTX 5090 prices drastically.
ZOTAC Hikes Up its RTX 5090 GPU Prices by Over 20% Overnight; Reportedly Cancels Some Existing Orders Notifying Users of "System Error"
Not long ago, Corsair was supposedly changing prices of its products in almost real-time, cancelling existing PC and RAM orders, only to hike their prices for bigger margins. Although it promised some discounts to the affected customers, the prices after discounts were nowhere near the original price tags. This new report suggests a similar shady practice by ZOTAC, with users reportedly unable to receive the GPUs they purchased from the official ZOTAC store.
We get that high DRAM prices have affected GPUs, pre-built systems, laptops, and other electronic devices, but when someone orders a product with a price tag set by the company itself, the company should honor the purchase. A user noticed that ZOTAC has recently increased the prices of its GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs on the official store. Prices were hiked by around 20-22%, and we are seeing a nearly $500 price increase across various editions.
Under the same thread, a user posted a screenshot of the email, alleging that ZOTAC has not only increased the RTX 5090 prices, but has also cancelled some orders. The screenshot reveals that ZOTAC has cancelled the order by citing "System Error", and the money will therefore be refunded due to the same. Users were then advised to place the order once the error had been fixed. We don't know how many users were affected by the issue, but we are gathering more information on it.
Right now, the ZOTAC store is under maintenance, but we can already see the screenshots shared by Videocardz confirm the price hikes of RTX 5090 SOLID OC and RTX 5090 AMP Extreme Infinity. We don't know what changes are currently being made to the website, but the user who posted the screenshot claims that the orders from the previous night/early morning were cancelled, followed by an immediate price hike.
We will await ZOTAC’s response to these reports; until then, buyers are advised to avoid rushing purchases from the company’s official store.
