Corsair Cancels January 1 Orders For Dominator Titanium 48 GB DDR5 RAM, Citing "Internal Systems Error"
Apparently, the user whose PC order was canceled by Corsair without any "sensible" reason wasn’t an isolated case, as Corsair has confirmed that it also canceled DDR5 RAM orders placed on January 1. After the report on the Corsair PC order cancellation went viral, Corsair's official X handle announced the reason for the cancellation. We’ll cover this in more detail, as a larger story unfolded today and Corsair informed users about it via X and Reddit.
NOTICE: DRAM Cancellations - Webstore Pricing Error
On January 1, our webstore mistakenly listed an out-of-stock memory kit - DOMINATOR TITANIUM RGB 48GB (2x24GB) DDR5 6400MT/s CL36 (SKU: CMP48GX5M2B6400C36) at an incorrect price. Due to an internal systems error, the item briefly appeared available for pre-order, despite not being in stock.
We do not currently accept pre-orders for DRAM kits, and we do not have inventory available for this product. As a result, all orders placed on January 1st containing this item are being cancelled and fully refunded in accordance with our Terms of Sale.
Initially a standard coupon was sent out to these impacted customers but they will be receiving an additional coupon for DRAM specifically, in addition to the standard coupon code, direct from our customer service team.
We regret the confusion caused by this error and appreciate your understanding.

Corsair says that it had to cancel "all" the orders for Dominator Titanium 48 GB DDR5 RAM placed on 1st January as the item wasn't in inventory to start with. It says that due to an "internal systems error", the product briefly appeared on the website for pre-order with an "incorrect" price. Corsair says that since the RAM kit wasn't even available, it had to cancel all these orders. That said, Corsair has reportedly initiated the refund for these orders and will offer a standard coupon along with an additional coupon for the DRAM.
We have been made aware of a customer who placed an order for a VENGEANCE a5100 Gaming PC on our webstore on December 31st. The order was flagged by our fraud detection system and was cancelled as a result.
On January 1st, our Holiday Deals promo pricing ended, and the normal pricing was reinstated.
We are in contact with this customer directly to let them know we will still honor the price and will make sure their order is not flagged once again.

As far as the PC order cancellation is concerned, Corsair said that the order was "flagged" by their fraud detection system, and therefore, was cancelled. On 1st January, the price came back to normal when the holiday deal's promo ended, which is why, according to Corsair, we are seeing a price tag of $4,299 instead of $3,499. The company has announced that it will still let the user place the order at the deal price.
So, the case was indeed real, but without the user’s Reddit report, the reason behind the cancellation might never have come to light. This highlights why users should share such experiences when companies fail to provide clear answers.
