Xiaomi Is Prepping to Sell Its Affordable Snapdragon 845 Flagship, the POCO F1 in 60 Countries to Give Other Brands Trouble
POCO F1, the first phone announced by Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCOPHONE and the most affordable Snapdragon 845-powered flagship in the world right is set to be launched in other markets. The smartphone was initially released in India last week and it will now be available in 60 more countries. The company recently held events in Dubai, Paris and Hong Kong to mark the international release, and it appears that manufacturers like OnePlus and others are going to be sweating right about now.
Xiaomi POCO F1 Can Be Configured up to 8GB RAM and 256GB Storage and Still Cost Less Than What Flagships Retail For
Xiaomi recently published a list of countries on Twitter where the affordable flagship phone will now be available, including 30 European countries, 14 Asia countries, 14 Middle Eastern and African countries. Even though Xiaomi didn’t reveal the specific pricing for each location, some prices are already known from before. For example, the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of the POCO F1 will retail for €360 in France, while the 6GB/128GB variant will cost €400 (approximately $466.48 USD).
Spanish consumers can get their hands on the base model by paying €330, while the 128GB variant will cost them €400. In Italy, the variant with 64GB of storage will retail for €329, and the price for the 128GB storage model isn’t known yet but it is likely to cost €400. In Russia, the POCO F1 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage will retail for 20,990 Rubles and the 128GB model will cost 25,990 Rubles. The phone is expected to be available from September.

Coming to the specifications, the Xiaomi POCO F1 sports a 6.18-inch Full HD+ with a 2,246 x 1,080 resolution and it is available in the following storage configurations: 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of storage. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core SoC and is armed with a dual 12MP + 5MP camera system at the back.
Xiaomi generously packed in a large 4,000mAh battery, with the POCO F1 also featuring a liquid cooling system. The device ships with Android 8.1 Oreo with a POCO-tailored version of MIUI on top of it and it will receive an Android 9 Pie update in Q4 2018. The device also has a notch and a chin, with its build materials comprising up of metal and polycarbonate.
