After all these years we finally have a Warhammer: 40,000 action RPG on the way. NeocoreGames will be working very closely with Games Workshop to ensure that this stays true to the original tabletop universe.
Warhammer: 40,000 Inquisitor - Martyr lets you explore the dystopian and violent 41st millennium from a more personal perspective.
In true action-RPG fashion, the massive single-player campaign will let players become agents of the ever-vigilant Inquisition, carrying out missions within a secret war among the stars. But the game doesn't end when you complete the initial campaign. You'll be able to continue playing in the same secluded sector of this vast universe. This should allow for years of constant entertainment, gradual development and a continuous flow of content that's the hallmark of the genre.
NeocoreGames is incredibly excited to be able to bring the lore of Warhammer: 40,000 to life in this fashion. They're committed to creating a vivid characterization of the tabletop RPG.
"There's a reason why we chose the world of Warhammer 40,000: it's intense, brutal, visceral – a perfect material for an action RPG. Working with Games Workshop, we're doing our best to bring a high quality game to the community. We're huge fans as well, so we care deeply about this game."
- Zoltán 'Pozs' Pozsonyi, Producer, NeocoreGames
Bringing the Warhammer universe to life has never been an easy task with such a large and dedicated fan-base. Games Workshop won't deny that it's going to be a monumental task, but it's one that they're glad to assist with. This universe is perfect for an action-RPG.
"A Warhammer 40,000 action RPG has been notably absent from our portfolio of video game licenses so far and it’s great to finally be able to talk publicly about this wonderful game that the guys at Neocore have been working so hard on for some time now. Their previous action RPGs are very impressive and we feel privileged to be partnering with them on this game."
- Jon Gillard, Head of Licensing, Games Workshop
Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac sometime in 2016.
