Boxes of a Cooler Master Liquid 240L Core ARGB cooler, GIGABYTE B550M Eagle WiFi motherboard, Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 RAM, and AMD Ryzen 5 7600X processor next to a Newegg receipt showing a total charge of $86.98.

For less than $100, it's almost impossible to find a single DDR5 RAM stick, let alone a CPU+RAM+motherboard+cooler combo.

Redditor Gets Four Components for Under $100 Using Newegg Combo Configurator That Offered an $800 Discount With the 32 GB DDR5 RAM Kit

While some users are happy to get an additional RAM stick or two "accidentally", this user was able to get his PC build done for less than $100. The Reddit user u/KTsoFresh posted how he was able to get four components for just $87 via a pricing error. The Redditor says that when he was adding some components for purchase using the Newegg combo configurator, he stumbled upon a Corsair DDR5 RAM kit that would supposedly give him a savings of nearly $800.

After adding the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X and a GIGABYTE B850M Eagle motherboard to the configurator, he added that Corsair kit that was selling for nearly $557. However, due to the unusual $800 discount, the bundle price dropped to just $87. He says he was skeptical about this, but still continued to the cart, expecting the final price would change. It surely appeared as a bug to the user, but to his surprise, the price didn't change at all.

Moreover, the bundle had a free 240mm AIO cooler, which means he was getting four components for just $87, which would normally cost nearly $1000. After placing the order, the user kept refreshing the order status page to see if Newegg would cancel, but the order status changed to packaging. When the order arrived, the package indeed came with all the components he ordered for just under $100. The user says he also tried adding the same RAM kit to see if the discount was still there, but unfortunately, this time, the combo savings were dropped from $800 to just $100.

Nonetheless, the user was able to get his parts for the lowest price he could have imagined, and now he only needs a few more parts to complete his build. Now, as the post has gone viral, it's expected that a lot of users will proceed to the Newegg combo configurator to try their luck, but it's unlikely such a deal will appear again.
