UE4 PC/PS4/XB1 WWII FPS Battalion 1944 Fully Funded In Less Than Three Days, New Video Coming Soon
The Unreal Engine 4 first person shooter set during World War II Battalion 1944, currently in development by Bulkhead Interactive, is setting out to be quite successful among fans of the genre. Earlier this week the team launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, a campaign that’s been more successful than the team expected.
The Battalion 1944 Kickstarter campaign managed to gather £100,000 in around three days, an excellent result that shows how players are hungering for a first person shooter inspired by some of the best games of the past such as the Medal of Honor games and older Call of Duty games.

With the crowdfunding campaign having been so successful so quickly, the team didn’t have the time to put out a FAQ on the game yet. More on the game, however, will be coming soon, as Bulkhead Interactive’s Joe Brammer confirmed that a new video will be coming in the near future.
Tonight we all celebrate as a community! Tomorrow we hit the grind to make this game as good as it can possibly be! Watch for new video!

Battalion 1944 will try to recapture the feel of classic multiplayer shooters like the already mentioned older Call of Duty games and bring it to the new generation. Battalion 1944 will come with real world locations such as the streets of Carentan and the forest of Bastogne as well as weapons like the M1 Garand and a competitive multiplayer environment with a big emphasis on skill.
“Fuelled by the power of Unreal Engine 4, Battalion 1944 resurges World War 2 back into the modern gaming spotlight in our spiritual successor to the great multiplayer shooters of the past such as Call of Duty 2 and Enemy Territory. On BattleRank, it’s down to skilled soldiers like you to fight for your battalion.”
Battalion 1944 is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more comes in on it so stay tuned for all the latest news.
