Earlier than most publishers do, Crystal Dynamics and Amazon Game Studios have revealed the Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis PC system requirements, and it's not good news for anyone playing on a mainstream GPU, though it's hardly surprising, considering the game is powered by Unreal Engine 5.

The system specifications published on the game's Steam store page detail the minimum and recommended requirements early, but with a significant catch: there's no indication of target resolution and framerate.

With no indication of what resolution and framerate these Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis system requirements target, we can only speculate. The minimum specifications likely target a 1080p low setting at 30 FPS, while the recommended tier possibly targets a 1080p high setting at 60 FPS or a 1440p resolution. In addition, these may not even accurately indicate the requirements for native resolution, as Unreal Engine 5 games are built with upscaling in mind. As such, there's a high chance they target resolutions upscaled using NVIDIA DLSS or AMD FSR, much like most games powered by the Unreal Engine, which would further complicate things for anyone playing on the most popular GPUs like the RTX 4060 or 5060, which are weaker than the RTX 3080, despite being more recent.

As Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is still quite far from release, there's a good chance more information on the PC system requirements will be revealed in the coming months. The remake of the first entry in the series was originally scheduled for release in 2026, a release window that remained certain as of last month.

This week, however, it was confirmed during the PlayStation State of Play presentation that the game will launch on February 12, 2027, likely to avoid not only Grand Theft Auto 6, but the bloodbath that has become the month of September.
