The production of The Witcher Netflix series is well underway, but we have still to see any real footage of it. Earlier today, however, the first footage has surfaced online thanks to a couple of videos.

The two videos showing the first look at The Witcher Netflix series have been shared by Torpedo Pictures, a Canadian virtual effects studio. It's not yet been confirmed that the footage is from the upcoming show, but the second video shows a castle that it's pretty much a perfect rendition of Kaer Morhen, the ancient keep that the witchers of the School of the Wolf call their home. The Witcher Netflix show will be based on the books written by Andrzej Sapkowski and, as such, will feature a much younger Geralt, who will be played by Henry Cavill. The first season will consist of eight episodes that will be directed by Alik Sakharov (Games of Thrones, Rome), Alex Garcia Lopez (Daredevil, Fear The Walking Dead), and Charlotte Brändström (Colony, The Disappearance). The series is produced by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich.

The Witcher Netflix show will release on a yet to be confirmed release date. We will keep you updated on the show as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
