Many The Witcher fans have come to known Geralt of Rivia, Ciri and the political turmoil of the Continent thanks to CDPR games, but as most do know now, the character has been created by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. A recently released documentary provides more details about the transition from the books to the first game.

The documentary, which can be watched below, is only available in Polish, but thankfully English subtitles are also available. While quite long, the documentary is a very interesting watch for all fans of the series, as it includes, among other things, discussions between Sapkowski and CDPR about Geralt's characterization.

Last week, CDPR confirmed that The Witcher 3 PlayStation 4 Pro update is going to be released soon. The original statement from CDP's president Adam Kicinski mentioned that the update was going to be released in a matter of days, but it's been later clarified that an official announcement with a release date will be coming when the right time comes. Xbox One X support is also coming before the end of the year.

We’ve prepared a 4K version which will be available on PlayStation Pro in just a few days and by the end of the year it will be available on Xbox One X.

More details about them, including the exact moment when they will be released, are something we are going to announce when the right time comes.

The original The Witcher is only available on PC. Its first sequel, The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings is available on PC and Xbox 360. The third and, so far, final game of the series, The Witcher 3 is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
