Apple’s newest 11-inch and 13-inch M4 iPad Air have not even gone on sale, and Amazon has already made these premium slates ooze significantly better value thanks to slashing up to $100 off for the Wi-Fi-only models as part of its pre-order offer. While it would have been the icing on the cake if the online retailer had discounted the cellular variants, we can’t always have what we want.

The highest discount is unsurprisingly applied to the 1TB version of the 13-inch M4 iPad Air, which also happens to be the most expensive out of the lineup

With the new price cuts, the M4 iPad Air series starts at $559 instead of $599, but you’ll have to be mindful of the color that you select because Amazon hasn’t applied a flat discount on all finishes. In short, these offers are subject to change, so it is recommended that you continue to refresh these listings to get the updated prices.

As for the specifications, both the 11-inch and 13-inch M4 iPad Air remain practically unchanged from their immediate predecessors except for the N1 wireless networking chip, which supports the newer Wi-Fi 7 standard, along with the chipset upgrade. Apple has also increased the unified memory count to 12GB, with unified memory bandwidth increasing to 120GB/s compared to 100GB/s on the M3 versions.

It is also important to note that the cellular versions now ship with the C1X 5G modem instead of Qualcomm’s baseband chips. However, you should know that the M4 running in both the 11-inch and 13-inch models is a binned part, sporting an 8-core CPU and a 9-core CPU. The standard M4 features a 10-core CPU, with the reduction of two cores means that both M4 iPad Air models are leaving some performance on the table.

Fortunately, it will never reach a point where you’ll actually notice a lick of a difference during everyday use. To be honest, for $559, nothing even remotely comes close to what the M4 iPad Air lineup offers, and we don’t have to tell you twice that you’ll be missing out on an exceptional deal from Amazon if you don’t hurry.
