The Outlast Trials Launches on March 5, 2024 for PC and Consoles

At TGA 2023, Canadian developer Red Barrels announced the 1.0 launch date of The Outlast Trials. The cooperative asymmetric survival horror game will be released on March 5, 2024 for PC and consoles. Pre-orders are now available on Microsoft and PlayStation stores.

The Standard Edition is priced at $39.99 USD / $49.99 CAN / €39.99 EUR / £31.99 GBP, while the Deluxe Edition (game + Reagent Starter Pack) is priced at $49.99 USD / $63.99 CAN / €49.99 EUR / £41.74 GBP. The Reagent Starter Pack includes four exclusive legendary player skins, exclusive cell items, player icons, and cell posters. All pre-orders will include the Grizzly Hazmat Outfit.

The Outlast Trials debuted in May on Steam Early Access to widespread acclaim, selling over 1.5 million units to date. The 1.0 launch will introduce a series of improvements, including but not limited to the following:

  • Console Support - Now PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One gamers can take on the Trials!
  • New Trial - All-new Toy Factory trial pitting subjects against the fearsome Mother Gooseberry.

  • Full Controller Support - Controller, vibrations and select different controller layouts to fit your playstyle.
  • New Evidence Documents - Continue to learn more about the Murkoff backstory and the Outlast lore.
  • New Character Customization - Many new pieces of cosmetics to unlock.
  • New Cell Decorations - Decorate your cell with new cosmetics.
  • New Legendary Outfits - Acquire new reborn legendary outfits.
  • Increased Level Cap - Continue your therapy up to level 65.
  • New Amps - Fine tune your loadout with many new Amps.
  • Weekly Programs - Comeback every week to experience new therapies.
