The Division 2 Technical Alpha Kicks Off This Week, Private Beta Also on the Way

If you’ve signed up for the beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, you may want to check your inbox. Ubisoft is inviting a select number of people from The Division 2’s beta pool to participate in a closed technical alpha on PC this week. The technical alpha will run from December 15 at 8am ET to December 18 at 8am ET, and is available to preload, now. We don’t know exactly what this technical alpha will include, and may not for a while, since the contents are under NDA (although somebody is sure to leak details).

If you’ve been invited, here’s how to access the technical alpha:

Watch Dogs Legion Won’t Be Receiving Any More Updates, Dev Team Confirms; Patch 5.6 Was The Final Update

  • Once you have signed the NDA agreement via the invitation email, you'll be redirected towards our official Technical Alpha website.
  • On this website, log in with your Ubisoft credentials.
  • If you didn't sign your NDA yet, you'll be invited to do it again. When this NDA is signed, you will receive a confirmation email for your participation.
  • The Technical Alpha should then be available on Uplay PC in your library.

Haven’t received an invite for the technical alpha? Don’t be too upset, as Ubisoft will also be holding a private beta sometime soon. Anybody who pre-orders The Division 2 will get access to the beta, but you don’t have to pre-order – anybody is free to sign up.

Haven’t been keeping up with The Division 2? Here’s the official rundown:

For The Division 2, the stakes are higher than ever. Washington, D.C. – the most heavily protected city on earth – is at risk, leaving the entire nation on the brink of collapse. If Washington, D.C., is lost, then the nation falls. As a Division agent who has been in the field for seven months, you and your team are the last hope to stop the fall of society after the pandemic collapse.

Developed by Ubisoft Massive and the same teams that brought you the original game, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is an online open world, action shooter RPG experience set in a collapsing and fractured Washington, D.C. This rich new setting combines a wide variety of beautiful, iconic, and realistic environments where the player will experience the series’ trademark for authenticity in world building, rich RPG systems, and fast-paced action like never before. Play solo or co-op with a team of up to four players to complete a wide range of activities, from the main campaign and adversarial PvP matches to the Dark Zone – where anything can happen.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is coming to PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on March 15, 2019.
