The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra Looks Like the ROG Phone 8 But in a Suit

Asus surprised us all when the company came out with the Asus ROG Phone 8--this was the first time a gaming phone that did not look like a gaming phone and had all the modern look and feel that we normally see in flagship phones. Now, some new information has surfaced regarding the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra, and based on the leaked renders, it looks like Asus has borrowed all the design elements from the ROG Phone 8 and made it a bit classier because the phone looks almost identical.

The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra is the ROG Phone 8 that went to business school

A Redditor came across a bunch of images that belong to the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra. The images were found inside the latest firmware of the Asus ROG Phone 8, and looking at the images, it is obvious that both phones share a lot more than just the same company. If Asus is going for this, it is safe to say that the upcoming Zenfone is not going to be a compact flagship and could be just as large as the ROG Phone 8. You can have a look at the images below.

The images above confirm a number of things--for instance, the design of the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra is very, very similar to the one found on the Asus ROG Phone 8 series. The name is also confirmed in one of the images, and we also get a look at how the box is going to look. As far as the specs are concerned, this is what the phone is going to sport.

You can see that the specs are what you would expect from a 2024 flagship, aside from the main camera, which is still not the most advanced. However, the rest of the Asus Zenfone 11 looks like it is going to pack stellar hardware across the board. Now, this is where I have some concerns with this leak--if you remember correctly, I recently published a leak where the phone was spotted on the Google Play Console, but that variant sported a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which is still not out in the wild. The contradiction could be confusing until Asus provides further clarification.

Another thing that concerns me is the name itself. As you can see, Asus has decided to go for the Ultra moniker for the Zenfone 11. This could possibly mean that the company could come out with a vanilla Asus Zenfone 11 that would offer a more compact form factor because, at 6.78-inch, this phone really isn't compact. For the sake of comparison, the Asus Zenfone 10 offered a 5.92-inch display, so this is quite a jump.

As far as the release date is concerned, we can expect the Asus Zenfone 11 series to launch soon this year. We do not know when this is going to launch, but considering how the phone has leaked twice in recent times, it is safe to say that we are going to expect an official announcement from Asus pretty soon, and whenever that happens, we will be sure to let you know.
