Today, NACON and KT Racing have presented new gameplay and information for the upcoming open world racing game Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown.
KT Racing Creative Director Alain Jarniou went on stage to reveal that players will have to pick between one of two factions: Sharps and Streets. Each clan has its headquarters. The Streets chose to take over a former nightclub where the dark ambiance is offset by neon lights, while the Sharps opted to revitalize the restaurant of a luxury hotel to give it the calm and dignified atmosphere that characterizes their clan.
In the game, players can control their customized avatar as soon as they get out of their car. Available in enclosed areas, such as the Solar Hotel, this feature offers a wide variety of interactions and gameplay possibilities. In the large open space, the best drivers are showcased, and any activities available are displayed.
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown was originally announced in July 2020. NACON and KT Racing have now confirmed another delay (the game was supposed to launch in 2022, then 2023), revealing that the game will debut next year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X. On the upside, select fans will get the chance to join the first Closed Beta Test, set to begin on July 24th. The CBT will be active for three days; signups are open now on the game's official website.
