A new Tekken 8 gameplay trailer was shared online today, focusing on one of the returning characters that will be available at launch in the next entry in the fighting game series by Bandai Namco.

The new trailer, which can be found below, focuses on Lars Alexandersson, the illegitimate child of Heihachi Mishima, who has been a central character in the series since its debut in Tekken 6. The new trailer gives players a first look at the character's deadly fighting style and great-looking new costume.

Since the release of the first proper gameplay trailer during The Game Awards 2022 show, Bandai Namco has been showing more of Tekken 8 with plenty of character-focused trailers. Since the beginning of the year, the Japanese publisher provided looks at Nina Williams, Kazuya Mishima, and King, as well as at some of its gameplay mechanics centered around the Heat System, which will grant players access to special actions, combat enhancements, and more. These new mechanics seem to bring a new level of complexity that is sure to make the game as engaging as past entries in the series, if not even more.

Tekken 8 is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S and will release on a yet-to-be-confirmed release date.
