Swappa.com: An Alternative For Finding New & Gently Used AMD Radeon and NVIDIA GeForce GPUs

Swappa, an online retailer that sells new and used technology from smart devices, PCs, computer accessories, and more, is also another alternative for consumers looking for graphics cards to be able to locate new or used GPUs.

A spokesperson from the website has this to say about their offerings:

Here’s why Swappa is a better way to get a graphics card:

  • Verified listings: Real people review GPU listings before they go live. This means Swappa keeps out the scams you’ll see on other sites, making it easy to score the best deals on your next GPU.
  • Easy to browse GPU catalog: We’re gamers just like you, so we understand what matters most when finding a graphics card. The Swappa GPU Catalog is broken down by platform, taking you to all Nvidia GeForce and AMD Radeon cards made by the most popular AIB (add-in board) manufacturers.
  • Advanced product filtering: Have a particular GPU in mind? No problem! You can filter by brand — and if you’re looking for a card with better cooling or overclocking features (such as an Asus RTX 3080 Ti Strix OC or EVGA RTX 3090 Kingpin Edition), you can even specify which model you’d like!
  • No junk, no jerks: If you’ve ever bought or sold a phone or tablet on Swappa, you already know we work hard to keep the bad guys out and make it easy to find fully functional, gently used tech. The same holds true for GPUs, thanks to our strict listing requirements, advanced AI-powered anti-fraud tools, and 24/7/365 support.

By going to Swappa's website, it is extremely easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. When looking for a graphics card, this writer checked both AMD and NVIDIA options to see what was available for purchasing, and also pricing options. For AMD, only one card was available—the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT Reference Edition, which was selling from a user for $750 for one that was considered "Like New".

In searching for NVIDIA options, I was able to find up to nine different options available, the first one starting at $720 for a new MSI GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card, to the highest one available, which was a ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3090, selling new for $2599.

It is a great alternative due to their meticulous program of ensuring that what is being sold is not going to turn out to be nonfunctional or not what was offered. Looking for reviews about Swappa only came up with a very slim amount of negative reviews about buying off of the site.

As with any purchasing online, make sure you take every precaution to know what you are buying, especially at a time where GPUs are in such short quantities and still being sold for scalper pricing. Make sure to ask several questions to the seller so that you do not end up with a costly mistake.
