Street Fighter 6, the next entry in the classic fighting game series launching in a little a month on PC and consoles, is one of the most anticipated titles launching this year, and publisher CAPCOM expects it to do quite well in its lifetime.

Speaking with Japanese magazine Famitsu, as reported by ryokutya2089, CAPCOM Representative Director Haruhiro Tsujimoto talked about sales expectations for the next entry in the series, saying that, as Street Fighter V managed to sell over 7 million units in its lifetime, they expect the upcoming next entry in the series to sell over 10 million units in its lifetime. As such, the developer went all out with the game, with a bigger eSports focus and features that expanded the genre, most likely referring to the game's unique single-player mode, World Tour.

During the same interview, Haruhiro Tsujimoto discussed titles other than Street Fighter 6, confirming that all future multiplayer games from the publisher will support cross-play. The development of Exoprimal, in particular, is seen as very important to obtain the needed know-how to implement cross-platform play properly. As Street Fighter 6 will also support cross-play, and it worked rather well in the closed beta tests held last year, I'd say the Japanese publisher is definitely on the right track in this regard.

Speaking about Street Fighter 6, CAPCOM is going all-out promoting the game after last week's showcase and releasing a playable demo, which is now finally available on all platforms. A few hours ago, plenty of new footage was shared online, showcasing the Battle Damage Feature, some classic costumes for select characters like Guile, Zangief, Chun-Li, and Ryu, and new character Manon, the Judoka Ballet Dancer. You can check out the new footage right below.

Street Fighter 6 launches on June 2nd on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S worldwide. As the game supports full cross-platform play, players on all formats will be able to play together with the entire user base without any limitations.
