Bethesda's Lead Creative Producer has teased some of the upcoming Starfield content and features.

Bethesda Game Studios has released a new Developer Spotlight video that also includes a few tidbits about upcoming content and features for Starfield.

The video is dedicated to Lead Creative Producer Tim Lamb, who started working with Bethesda with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and is credited for every subsequent game, including Fallout 3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 4, Fallout 76, and of course, Starfield itself. Lamb teased a new story DLC as well as some 'space gameplay changes' and other new gameplay systems.

Starfield is sort of the culmination. It does so many of the things that those other games do, but like four times as much. Everything is what we did before, plus more fidelity, more complexity. To me, Starfield was like making four games. You have your running around, shooting aliens and space guys. You have your flying around in a spaceship, shooting other spaceships. You have the ship builder game, you have the outpost game. I think, as it comes to Starfield, I'm really excited for players to see what the team has been working on.

We have some cool stuff coming, including free updates and features the players have been asking for, as well as a new DLC story. I can't go into all the details just yet, but I will say part of the team has been focused on space gameplay to make the travels there more rewarding. We're also adding some new game systems and a few other smaller delights. There's also some really interesting stuff coming down the pipe from our verified creators. We can't wait to get it into the hands of our players.

Dataminers recently discovered hints at an interplanetary travel mechanic, which is notoriously missing in the base game. That could be what Lamb was referring to, though it's always better to wait until we get all the concrete details to get truly excited.

As for the second story DLC after Shattered Space, a recent rumor suggests it will be released next year alongside the long-awaited PlayStation 5 release of Starfield. Either way, with Bethesda starting its teases, it may not be much longer until everything is revealed. As always, stay tuned on Wccftech for all the latest rumors and news.
