Thanks to @momomo_us, we have the product listings for ASUS Z890 motherboards. Most motherboard listings have pics unavailable but some do. However, the pics don't necessarily correspond to the actual listed motherboard such as in the case of ASUS ROG STRIX Z890-I Gaming WiFi, which shows a regular ATX-form factor motherboard. The three pictures that are shown are for the X870E/X870 models so you may as well dismiss them.

Here is the complete list of listed motherboards along with their pricing:

  • ROG Maximus Z890 Extreme: $1111.87
  • ROG Maximus Z890 Apex: $812.29
  • ROG Maximus Z890 Hero: $780.66
  • ROG Strix Z890-E Gaming WiFi: $558.94
  • ProArt Z890-Creator WiFi: $548.23
  • ROG Strix Z890-I Gaming WiFi: $502.37
  • ROG Strix Z890-A Gaming WiFi: $445.04
  • TUF Gaming Z890-Plus WiFi: $356.81
  • Prime Z890-P WiFi: $281.34
  • ASUS Z890 MAX Gaming WiFi-GSI only: $268.28

If you pay attention to the list, you will find all the sub-series but one additional model has been added to the Z890 catalog, which is the 'MAX Gaming WiFi'. This model has never been part of the earlier Intel or AMD motherboards from ASUS and it appears to be the cheapest model in the entire ASUS Z890 stack.

It looks like the Z890 MAX Gaming WiFi will compete against MSI's Gaming Plus and such affordable motherboards from other vendors. Coming to the prices, the ROG Maximus Z890 Extreme is going to be the flagship model, costing £886.61 or US$1111. Keep in mind that the prices in the UK include an additional 20% VAT, which means the actual cost of the motherboard in NA should be somewhere around US$950-$1000.

Similarly, we have other ROG Maximus motherboards costing over 600 pounds or US$800+, which roughly translates to around US$700 without VAT. The ProArt and Strix Z890-I Gaming WiFi are roughly in the same price bracket of £400-£450, equivalent to around US$530-$580 or US$440-$485 without VAT.

The more affordable solutions include the TUF, Prime, and Max Gaming Z890 motherboards that are below £300. The cheapest is the ASUS Z890 MAX Gaming WiFi, costing £213.93 or US$286 with VAT included. This comes down to around US$240 without VAT.

ASUS recently teased several of its Z890 motherboards in a short video, stated as "Intel Next-Gen Motherboards", which included shots of a few of these motherboards. We identified that there are as many as three ROG Maximus motherboards from the video, which is confirmed by the UK retailer listing as well. The motherboards are expected to hit the shelves on 24th October alongside Intel Arrow Lake processors.
