2017 has been a good year for Sonic The Hedgehog fans, with SEGA releasing two titles starring the character and his friends, Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces, and it seems like both titles have done well on the market, so much that SEGA is ready to talk about what’s next for the series.

It’s been recently confirmed that SEGA will hold a panel during SXSW on March 16th to talk about the strong performance of last year’s titles as well as the future of the Blue Hedgehog.

Sonic is back, and ready to take 2018 by storm. Join the official team from SEGA who are building Sonic’s future as they give you an update on last year’s strong performance of Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces, as well as the world-exclusive first look at what comes next for the fastest blue hedgehog. Speakers include Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka, Sonic PD Director Austin Keys, Sonic Mania Animation Director Tyson Hesse, and Sonic Social Media Manager Aaron Webber. You won’t want to miss this!

Of the two games released last year, the best one is definitely Sonic Mania, which brings back the classic 2D style, zones from previous games as well as brand new ones.

It’s hard to write a bad word about Sonic Mania. It’s a complete, classic package, at a great price. Each character you play as feels just as you remember it, but sharper. Each classic stage starts as you remember it, and then transforms into something completely new. Sonic Mania is a love letter to fans and a testament to the Blue Blur himself – a modern classic that Sonic fans old and new have to experience.
