Imagine having 1TB of storage in a surface area that is barely bigger than your fingernail? For Black Friday 2022, Amazon is supersizing its microSD card offers with the SanDisk Ultra. The storage card features a whopping 1TB of onboard memory and is going for $99.99. Of course, if you feel that having this much storage is overkill, you can also go for the less expensive options, but we are recommending this because, for the price, this is just too good to pass up.
The SanDisk Ultra microSD card is compatible with smartphones, tablets, cameras, and even drones, allowing you to store heaps of data without ever worrying that all that space will be used up. In terms of speeds, the storage card supports a slower standard, which is why it is priced at $99.99, but it can still deliver up to 150MB/s transfer speeds and up to 1,000 photos per minute.
The microSD card also supports the A1 standard, which can obtain read IOPS of 1,500 and write IOPS of 500. In short, apps installed on this card will load fast. When it comes to recording seamlessly in 1080p, there is no better option than the SanDisk Ultra. It is resistant to extreme weather and temperatures, but we will still not recommend that you expose your storage card to such conditions since it might corrupt your data later on.
For those interested, the 512GB version of the SanDisk Ultra costs $39.99, and while it costs less than half the price of the 1TB version, keep in mind the technological feat it requires to add such a significant amount of storage on such a small area. We still cannot get over the fact of how SanDisk achieved this. Guess we will be even more surprised to find out that the company introduces a 2TB model down the road; now that would be an ‘over the top’ special.
