Samsung has not officially revealed the release date of the Galaxy S25 lineup, but a new report claims that the devices will arrive more or less at the same time as their predecessors. As mentioned, the Galaxy S25, the S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra are slated to be announced on January 22, according to FNNews. We have covered various leaks regarding the time frame, but the launch will take place on February 7. In the meantime, Samsung will open pre-orders for the handsets, so a maximum number of users can place their share of orders.

The current Galaxy S24 lineup was announced on January 17, and the release took place on January 31. The report also claims that Samsung will continue with its pre-orders and offer "reservations", possibly with lucrative promotions as it has always done. You will potentially be able to avail credit or discount depending upon various terms while also being able to get the new device after trading in your previous one.

Samsung's Galaxy S25 lineup will bring various changes to the table, as the company will face immense pressure next year from the likes of the Google Pixel 10 lineup as well as the iPhone 17. It was previously reported that Samsung is also working on a new "Slim" model, which will compete against the likes of the iPhone 17 Air, which is speculated to launch in the second half of next year alongside the rest of the lineup. However, Samsung will not announce the Galaxy S25 Slim with its standard lineup; instead, it will wait a few months and launch it at a dedicated event.

The Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Ultra will compete against the likes of the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro models in terms of design as well as performance. Performance-wise, we are expecting the Galaxy S25 series to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chips and One UI 7 out of the box, which will allow it to compete with Apple's A18 Pro and iOS 18's Apple Intelligence platform.

Samsung could be planning to charge a bit more for the Galaxy S25 lineup and the company has shown increasing concerns regarding the resistance from customers. While Apple is transitioning to its custom-designed chips and components, Samsung will rely on third-party suppliers, which might be why the costs are high for the South Korean giant. We will share additional details on the Galaxy S25 launch as soon as further information is available.
