Samsung has unveiled its latest range of laptops, the Galaxy Book6 series, which features Intel's latest Panther Lake platform, offering upgraded performance and battery life.
Like all other vendors, Samsung has managed to integrate Intel's latest Core Ultra 300 CPUs into its Galaxy Book series, bringing significant improvements across several key areas, primarily CPU, NPU performance, and battery life. The Korean giant has showcased three variants: Pro, Ultra, and Normal, focusing on different performance targets. Starting with the Galaxy Book6 Ultra, you can expect up to Core Ultra X9 variants, featuring up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X memory and more. Here's a brief look at the spec sheet for the Ultra model:

One of the biggest upgrades brought with the new Galaxy Book6 variants is the presence of a new vapor chamber system, which is claimed to be ideal for an RTX + Core Ultra 300 series configuration. Samsung has increased the fin size of the vapor chamber, resulting in up to a 35% improvement in cooling efficiency. More importantly, you are looking at "a newly added dual path outlet fan and heatsink", adding to thermal performance as well within the Ultra and Pro models.
The main difference between the Ultra and Pro models is that the latter is confined to Core Ultra X7 SKUs within the Panther Lake lineup, and you also get a 14-inch model within the Pro offering as well. For graphics, the Pro relies on Intel's onboard iGPU, rather than a dedicated laptop GPU, which is why the power requirements are significantly lower. Here's a look at the specifications for Galaxy Book6 Pro 14-inch and 16-inch models.

If you are curious about the battery life, Samsung claims that there's a significant improvement within Galaxy Book6 models, and the Galaxy Book6 Ultra and Pro series deliver up to 30 hours of video playback, with super-fast charging capabilities, which allows for a "truly seamless, all-day operation". Panther Lake is already known to be a power-efficient platform, and Samsung has effectively leveraged it, which is why the newer Galaxy Book laptops excel in terms of efficiency.
Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Book6 is limited to Intel's Core Ultra platform, rather than Panther Lake, simply because it is a more budget-oriented option. Here's a quick look at the specifications, which also include 16-inch and 14-inch models:
