Samsung has its hands full when it comes to the big product launches it has in store this year. While the Galaxy S25 series came out earlier this year, the tech giant is now gearing up for its next foldable lineup, with users glued to the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. The main focus remains on what upgrades the company will be introducing this year with its foldable models. However, it is also expected that Samsung will be unveiling its new flagship tablet models, the Galaxy Tab S11 and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. A new rumor has emerged claiming that the tablets might get their first real upgrade since 2022.

Samsung seems to be pivoting in a different direction this year. Instead of launching three models for its flagship tablet series, it might only release two models, the Galaxy Tab S11 and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The tech giant intends to simplify its lineup by skipping away the middle-tier option and offering its standard and premium models only.
While earlier speculations did give away that both the tablets would be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9400, doing away with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset for the model, a new leak has now emerged, giving more insights into what the upcoming premium tablets have in store. As per a new report by GalaxyClub, Samsung's Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra could feature a larger battery, sitting between 11,700 and 12,000 mAh. Since the South Korean tech giant has not brought many changes in terms of battery capacity, this upgrade would help with extended battery life and handling high-demanding tasks.
Samsung has not yet revealed the battery specifications, but the early certifications did suggest that we could see the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra come with a rated battery capacity of 11,374 mAh. If we compare this to its predecessor, it is a bump since the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra came with a rated battery capacity of 10,880 mAh. This is the first time in a while that Samsung has opted for a boost in battery capacity for its Ultra tablet lineup that would allow more efficient performance, especially when combined with a more powerful chipset.
More details about the upcoming flagship tablets will emerge as the launch date approaches, which might be later this year since the tablet's software development seems to lag behind the new foldable.
