It appears that the Galaxy S24 was a huge success in the first quarter because, based on some new information, Samsung exceeded its production goal by an impressive 22% in the first quarter of 2024. The company manufactured 22% more devices than it had anticipated in the beginning.

Samsung has managed to defy its own expectations as the company has manufactured 65.4 million devices in Q1 2024

The Elec reports that Samsung manufactured 65.4 million devices in the first quarter of this year. The number might be small, but when you look at the fact that this is 22% more than the initial target of 53 million, things start to make more sense. Keep in mind that this number does not include the Galaxy devices that are being manufactured by the third-party contractor Wingtech. This means that there was a strong demand at the start of the year, with the Galaxy S24 producing some really stellar results and the more affordable devices also getting their fair share of the market.

Reports in the past have indicated how Samsung had increased the Galaxy S24 sales target for the first quarter of this year, all thanks to a strong demand in the early months. The South Korean firm was looking to sell 12 million units of the new phones in the first three months of this year but raised the target to 13 million units. At the moment, the combined sales of all three Galaxy S24 variants remain 8% higher than the combined sales of all Galaxy S23 variants.

We are familiar with Samsung's plan to sell 253 million Galaxy smartphones this year alone. Out of this impressive number, 51 million devices are said to be flagship models, ranging from the Galaxy S24 to the upcoming Galaxy Z devices, which will launch later this year.

It's safe to say that Samsung is enjoying its time in the market, and if everything goes as smoothly as it is going, we might see some really interesting devices and results in the coming future. The South Korean tech giant is finally showing signs of recovery from the global recession that took the world by storm. This is another win for Samsung because only recently, we reported that the company has managed to take the top spot from Apple once again.
