Samsung has made a habit of releasing foldable phones between August and September. That is what we have been speculating about the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 but the latest rumor points to the fact that the phones might launch earlier than we had expected because Samsung is going to start production sooner.
Samsung could end up launching the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 earlier this year because of tougher competition
Based on a tip from renowned tipster @Tech_Reve, Samsung Electronics will start mass production of foldable phone hinges at the beginning of June instead of the usual end of June that the company has been doing for some time. The source also claims that there is a possibility that Samsung could end up launching the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 in July instead of August/September.

Now, for those wondering why Samsung would rush the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 release date, it makes sense. This year, the foldable competition has become much more challenging than it was a couple of years ago. Almost all big names have already come out with their foldable devices, with Google coming out with the Pixel Fold around the same time. Based on the latest rumor we heard about its pricing and availability, it makes sense why Samsung would want to release the new foldable devices earlier.
Much like Google I/O 2023 this year, the Galaxy Unpacked will also be a busy event with many devices being announced. However, I would highly advise that you take this with a grain of salt because Samsung could end up announcing both foldable devices at the same time they have been doing before.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be among the most promising foldable phones. Packed with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, top-tier hardware, and more durable designs, these phones will provide a superior foldable experience for anyone looking for one. Sure, they will cost a pretty penny, but I am sure they will be worth it, especially when compared to other foldable devices.
