As part of the game's promotion in the lead up to its launch, Bethesda Softworks has released a Redfall interactive adventure game available at this web address.

Here, players will take the role of Layla Ellison, one of the four playable characters featured in the game. Before the vampire apocalypse hit the once peaceful Massachusetts island, Layla was one of many students at the local university, where she studied to become a biomedical engineer.

Before long, though, she gets wrapped in an all-too-familiar situation for many students in the United States: student debt. To pay it off, she signs up to take part in a clinical study at Aveum Therapeutics. Obviously, the experiment goes wrong, but on the upside, Layla gets cool telekinetic powers which definitely come in handy to deal with all the bloodthirsty vampires that are now roaming the island.

The first power unlocked in the actual game is the Umbrella shield, which can fend off most frontal attacks. Upgrading it via the skill tree can boost its efficiency, and turning it off unleashes a kinetic blast that will damage nearby foes.

Her second power is likely the weirdest and yet possibly coolest one at the same time. Layla can conjure a lift that is capable of launching her or a teammate (when playing in co-op multiplayer) to higher ground. It can also be upgraded to throw enemies when needed.

Last but not least, Layla will be able to summon her ex-boyfriend Jason for help. He was also part of the trials gone wrong at Aveum Therapeutics, though in his case, the experiment turned him into a vampire - albeit a friendly one. Jason can deal a lot of damage to Layla's enemies when summoned, though she'll have to use up a special resource called psychic residue to call him to her side.

In the Redfall interactive adventure game, Layla investigates the Basswood neighborhood to lure out and kill the mysterious Night Manager vampire. Players will need to make various choices, using advice from the other fellow heroes, to find the Night Manager. If defeated, players will be taken back to where they picked the wrong decision.

If you end up being successful in the Redfall interactive adventure game, you'll also enter a sweepstake to win a custom Xbox Series X and controller with official art all over them. Do note that only adults who are residents of the following countries are eligible, per the sweepstake rules:

United States, Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom.

Redfall will be released on May 2nd for PC and Xbox Series S|X. Available on day one to Game Pass subscribers, it'll support NVIDIA DLSS 3 on PC, with ray tracing scheduled to be added post-launch.
