A new 4K texture pack was released online for Red Dead Redemption 2, the second entry in the open-world series by Rockstar Games, enhancing all of the game's story and side characters with high-quality textures.

The texture pack, which was developed by instanity and released on Nexus Mods, introduces high-quality textures for faces, bodies, hair, and beards of all main story and side characters which do a great job at enhancing all these characters without altering them too much, as showcased in the screenshots below.

While Red Dead Redemption 2 was released a while back, Rockstar Games hasn't exactly left the game behind, although it's only the online component of the game that is getting minimal support. The latest major update for the game went live last year, introducing AMD FSR 2.0 support which allows those who don't own an NVIDIA RTX GPU to achieve better performance at high resolutions.

Even though official support for Red Dead Redemption 2 is reduced to a minimum, modders are still supporting the game with their amazing work. Alongside massive visual overhauls like Visual Redemption, the game received plenty of other mods that enhance visuals and performance, such as a mod released back in January that brings DLAA and DLSS Ultra Quality support.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One worldwide. You can learn more about one of the most impressive open-world games released in recent times by checking out Alessio's review.

Red Dead Redemption 2 may not be perfect, but its minor shortcomings are like tiny blemishes on a stunningly beautiful face. In a way, they only serve as a reminder of how this world isn't made for perfection. Every single aspect of the game will put you into the very shoes of an outlaw roaming America with his gang as they try to escape the law long enough to make the money needed to disappear for good. It's an epic, memorable and engrossing tale which also elevates the open world genre to new heights with the brand new interaction system, a cast of unforgettable characters and a ton of high-quality content to play for a long time.
