Andrew Sampson, the developer of the Rainway app and Borderless Gaming, has shown the first gameplay of the streaming app running on Nintendo Switch.

The free Rainway app is designed to enable smooth streaming across a wireless network from a powerful computer. Thus it is possible to play PC games on other devices, such as the Nintendo Switch, simply by using a web browser (though Andrew Sampson would like to publish dedicated apps, if Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo allow him).

The first recordings of the Rainway app show that the developers are serious about it. For this occasion, Batman Arkham Knight was launched first. So far, everything was a bit jerky.

However, according to the developer, it is a matter of time before the game runs smoothly. The development of Rainway app for the web browser is currently much more advanced and it seems to run really smoothly.

We are definitely curious about what else to expect. It will be particularly interesting to see whether the app would be allowed by Nintendo to be released on the Switch eShop.
